Series consists of black-and-white gelatin dry plate negatives in 8x 10 in. and 5x7 in. sizes created by the City of New York Department of Education Bureau of Buildings. The bulk of the negatives are dated 1918. The subjects of the series are city school buildings and the World War I activities associated specifically with two of them, Boys Vocational School and Manhattan Trade School for Girls.
